About Green Home Ohio
Green Home Ohio is owned and operated by Todd Tamburino in Columbus, Ohio. A West Point graduate and 9-year Army veteran, Todd had the good fortune to see the world – South Korea, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy, and many Eastern European countries, to name just a few. Throughout his career he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Knox, Kentucky; and trained with the US Marines for a year in Quantico, Virginia.
From Humble Beginnings
After the Army, Todd and his wife, Jenn (a former Army nurse), moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where they gained an appreciation for the benefits of natural daylight. When they moved to Columbus in 2003, it was only a matter of time before daylighting would become an integral part of their lives.
Todd installed his first Solatube Daylighting Systems in his own home in 2006 to brighten his home office and the garage. Working long hours from home under the Solatube system, Todd recognized how beneficial natural daylight was and how effective the Solatube Daylighting System was at delivering it from sunup to sundown. The natural daylight helped increase his comfort all year long while reducing the need for electric lights.
Bringing Daylighting to Columbus
So in 2010, after several years of personal experience with the Solatube Daylighting System, Todd and his wife’s family founded Capital City Daylighting. As the Premier Solatube Dealer for Columbus and Central Ohio, their goal was to brighten the lives of fellow Ohioans while making homes more comfortable and enjoyable. Capital City Daylighting and Solatube were an instant hit as many people were craving daylight in their homes and lives.
The Indow interior thermal and acoustic window inserts were added to their product offerings in 2013 to help Ohioans increase the energy efficiency of their windows and homes without the high cost of replacement windows. As with the Solatube products, Todd and family discovered that people in central Ohio were very receptive to Indow for their homes.
In 2015, Todd took over and restructured the company as Green Home Ohio. This change enhanced operations and also allowed for more energy efficient products to be offered to Ohioans in the future.
Green Home Ohio staff is trained and certified by the manufacturers, and all work is guaranteed and fully insured.
